Gorontalo, (ANTARA GORONTALO) - Gorontalo Provincial Administration has held an international seminar on Halal Tourism in Gorontalo City on Tuesday.
Deputy Tourist Destination and Tourism Development, Ministry of Tourism, Dadang Rizki Ratman, here on Tuesday stated that tourism should be simply described to make it practical.
"There are three concepts of tourism, namely the characteristics of tourists; the destination; as well as tourism business, people, and industry," Dadang noted.
He explained that if Gorontalo wanted to develop halal tourism, all parties should be able to identify the tourists, the halal destinations in Gorontalo, and the halal tourism businesses.
"I appreciate the seminar, and hopefully it will continue as building tourism takes time," he added.
"Qualified products, services, and management must be provided," Dadang stated, adding that all those aspects can be provided with qualified human resources.
"The Ministry of Tourism tries to take the top three areas in halal tourism, namely Aceh, West Sumatra, and Lombok (West Nusa Tenggara)," he added.
